Seven Peaks

We bought Seven Peaks passes this year so I could take Kate swimming and yesterday we went with alot of Chads family and it was a little cold! Kate was so tired and so I had to sit with her while she slept, after she finally woke up I took her on some of the water slides and she loved it, I think she will probably like it alot more when it is not so cold!
Chad, and his brothers, and cousin had a blast being crazy boys!

Happy Memorial Day!

We hope you all had a great Memorial Day! We sure had fun! We visited the cemetary, and then had a fun bbq with Chads older brother Travis and Kristina and their kids. Later that afternoon we spent some time with my mom and dad and sisters and went to the Mayan.

Kate had a great time with the aunts watching the fire dancers and the divers! After dinner we joined up with Chads family and saw Indiana Jones. Kate slept through the almost the whole movie, and when she woke up during the last half hour she was so excited about the movie she started to squeal, it was so funny!
We also found some awesome sunglasses for her to wear!

poor baby kate!

Well as you can see poor baby Kate has had a little rash the last couple of days. She seems to have the same allergy to penicillin as daddy Chad. We were up visiting with Chads family the other night and Kates cute cousin Avery had to hang out half naked all night to be like Kate. Silly girls!

Elder Gollaher

Last Sunday we attended the farewell for Chads younger brother Landan. He has been called to serve in the Chihuahua, Mexico mission, and we are so excited for him! He gave a great talk and is going to be an awesome missionary!!!

Crazy Kate!

Many of you may be bored of my Kate stories, and I apologize but I don't spend time doing much else so bear with me. I admit that I have become a little camera happy so I hope everyone likes pictures :) So as I was grocery shopping today I stumbled upon one of my favorite treats, otter pops. Once we got home I immediately put a bunch in the freezer and by the time Chad left for work they were frozen, ha ha. Kate has mastered this technique of begging for food, like I mentioned in my previous post - she has learned what food is, and that she must have some anytime anyone else is eating. So I pulled my otter pop out of the freezer and the begging began. So I thought to myself what harm could a little taste do... ha ha ha I did not think too hard because I can now tell you all what harm a little taste can actually do! She had a death grip on that thing and I spent the evening scrubbing blue otter pop out of the couch, her clothes, her hair, you name it. But at least she enjoyed herself, and she ate the entire thing! So here is the picture evidence, and I will fill you in on the captions... "oh your eating, well where is my food? maybe if I look really cute and innocent someone will feed me." (which they always do!) She has this down to an art!!!Then she attempts to help herself to whatever it is that you are eating. And she will even open up wide just to make the sharing a little easier for you. (She was actually screaming at me in this picture for not sharing my candy bar with her).So once she sucessfully stole my otter pop she quietly and contently sat next to me on the couch and watched American Idol (our favorite show!).And here is what I get for thinking that there is no harm in giving a baby a taste of my otter pop, but at least she is cute.

(P.S. Don't worry Chad I cleaned up the mess, and it did not leave permanent stains).

nEw FaVoRiTeS

Here are a few new favorite things that Kate has discovered this last week...

1. She found this volleyball at my grandmas house the other night and would not give it up! She had it sitting in her lap and would smack her hands on the top of it, she thought it was the coolest thing ever! My sister would take the ball and roll it to her and she loved it!
2. The other evening after Chad left for work I needed to get out of the house, so I drove Kate over to the park by our house and luckily they had these awesome little baby swings! Unfortunately they were all taken by other kids, so I just sat Kate on my lap and started swinging and she was not to amused. As soon as the baby swing opened up I put Kate in it and she started laughing, it was so cute! I think she just thought she was so big, (since there was an older girl in the one next to her). The next day I made Chad go over so I could show him how cute it was!
3. Today is the 2 year anniversary of the day Chad and I met. It is kind of a funny story actually, I went up to Salt Lake to go country dancing with a friend who at the time was dating one of Chads friends and we went outside to say hi to them since they were in Salt Lake and they were trying to talk us into leaving and going to hang out with them, I told them I would only leave if they would buy us slurpees. So we ended up eating slurpees and country dancing at his friends house. So back to new favorites for Kate... Last night we celebrated and went to Ruby River for dinner and the temple and had a little game night, but after we picked up Kate from my parents we stopped at 7-11 to get slurpees and she could not get enough of them. She would have a taste and go ummm, ummm and make this funny little face - so cute!
4. This one does not exactly have to do with the picture but I noticed this new favorite thing while at McDonalds. We went with Travis, Kristina and the boys to McDonalds playplace a few nights ago and I sat Kate in one of the highchairs to feed her some applesauce and rice cereal, yum! She thought she was so big becuase she was eating with everyone else and now every time I am eating anything, even a drink of water, she has to eat too! Tonight at dinner I handed her some green beans and she went crazy with them and did her little yum noises! She is such a funny little baby!

Whats Up?

Here are a few funny stories just to let you know what we have been up to. The other day I bought Kate a blow up pool and I was so excited to use it (even though it was a whopping 60 degrees) so I made Chad help me blow up the three separate rings around the pool and then I used the hose to fill it up but the water was ice cold! So then I attempted to boil water to pour in to warm it up, I also made Chad hold the hose to the kitchen sink to try to get some hot water outside, needless to say it was still cold. So I sat in the cold water with Kate on my lap while she chewed on her toys. It was alot of work for ten minutes of literally freezing my bum off! A few days later I had another genius idea of feeding Kate prunes! (I paid for this one by having more poopy diapers in one day than she normally has in a month!!!). and since we are on the subject of bodily fluids... I have spent the last four days sucking out mass amounts of boogers! Chad made the comment to me yesterday as I attempted to suck out Kates boogers that "This is why I spent so much on you for Mothers Day" So I guess it is just a mothers job, but I couldn't be happier!

Personality Test!

Take this test!
You're yellow, the color of joy and energy — two things you definitely bring to everyone around you. It's hard for anyone to be sad or lonely in your presence; your sunny disposition and cheery outlook just won't allow it. The warmth of your personality shines through in the kindness you show friends and family (and strangers, too). Always ready with a lighthearted joke or heartfelt compliment, you know how to make people feel good about themselves, so they can't get enough of you. Yellow is a warm and inviting color for a warm and inviting person — you!

Disneyland! Yay!!!

We are sad to say that our trip to Disneyland is now over. But we had a blast, and took lots of pictures to prove it. Kate has now learned the art of posing for the camera, and she does a very good job at it! She experienced her first airplane ride, and slept the entire time (both ways), it was amazing! When we arrived on Saturday morning the shuttle took us straight to the hotel (across the street from Disneyland) and we unloaded our bags and took off to play! It was so fun, and by the end of the day we were ready to sleep for the next week! Our first ride was pirates, and Kate cried the whole time, but by the next ride (the haunted mansion) she was sound asleep! What a funny baby. After a few hours it was close to 100 degrees, so we headed over to play in the water and Kate thought it was a blast watching all the kids run around soaking wet. Kate and cousin Avery had cute matching outfits that were soaked by the end. We made it on all the favorite rides, saw the parades and the fireworks. It was a very sucessful day! The next day we went to church, and after we drove down to Laguna Beach. Kate had her first experience with the beach, she loved putting her feet in the sand when the water came in! We also spent a good amount of time in the pool and the hot tub! During the week we spent two more days at disneyland, Kates favorite ride was probably the finding nemo submarine ride, she was so funny to watch on it. The other favorites were the teacups, and monsters inc. She met Pluto, the Incredibles, Sully, and Ariel, and saw a bunch of other characters. The funniest part of the trip was when I was walking through the gift shop with Kate and she went past the baby princess dolls and got so excited about this one tinkerbell doll that we had to get it for her so she wouldnt cry when we left. She definitely knows what she wants, and how to get it! We had another beach day on tuesday at Newport beach, the boys went buggie boarding while the girls slept on the beach. and I tried to bury Kates arms and legs in the sand and she would try to eat handfulls of sand, yuck! We got fried! It was so painful at Disneyland the next day!!! I did man up and decided to go on the tower of terror (mostly by persuasion) it was definitely terrifying! I only went once and that was more than enough. The last day at Disneyland we waited in line for the Peter Pan ride for a half hour and when we got to the front of the line the ride broke down, this happened three more times on different rides, I think we must have been bad luck! Other than that the lines were so short and we got on every ride we wanted to, it was great! It was so fun to spend time with the family and see everyone, and what a better place to do it than disneyland!

*Sorry I got carried away but here are a few extra pics especially for you abby!!!
