Chads big decision...

So Chad has recently made quite the change to his career path. He is looking into dental school instead of medical school. So far it sounds like a great path for our family. Any thoughts, or suggestions? We love the fact that he could attend UNLV which is closer to home, and he would not have the long residency but instead be able to specialize! All around it sounds like a great way to go, but we would love suggetions! Let us know what you think!

Girls Night Out

The girls in my family have a tradition of spending dads money when he is gone to the priesthood meeting for general conference. Tonight we decided to go to Olive Garden for dinner and once we got there we were informed that the wait was about an hour, so in the meantime we made our way around to nearby stores. Grandma bought Kate the cutest flip-flops! and my crazy sister Abby bought this hot pink spandex shirt from the childrens store and wore it to dinner to see everyones reactions. I also spent the day convincing my two youngest sisters Camille and Anna that I am Hannah Montana (I think they believe me), but Anna told me "If you are Hannah Montana then you are dumb!" I would say it was a day well spent. Kate developed a love for kittys today. We visited my grandma and she has one indoor cat and two outdoor cats and Kate was so excited to see them, she was pulling their tails. She was also introduced to Coke today by Grandpa, she was not to happy when she realized no one would let her drink it. I am quite proud of myself, I went to the auto parts store by myself and found the right wiper blades and washer fluid for my car with no help! (I admit that my dad did help me put them on the car though). All in all it was a very productive day!

Malia's Bridal Shower

So Kate and I attended a bridal shower for my good friend Malia tonight. It was so fun to get together with all of my friends and visit. One of my friends' little boy came over to Kate and was kissing her forehead, it was so cute! But then he decided that she tasted pretty good and he bit her forehead I was trying not to laugh because she was not too happy but I loved watching her interact with someone her age. She has started rolling all over the floor and tonight she was watching him crawl around and she has now started trying to crawl, aaahh! I am so glad that I have such great friends (and of course family), I was thinking today how lucky I am to have the people in my life that I do. So thanks for being my friend!!!

easter and more!

Well life has been eventful! I am now officially registered for nursing school and will begin june 23rd, yay! Kate is getting bigger and more fun every day, and Chad is still very busy with work and school. Kate celebrated her first easter and she was very excited to chew on all of the colorful eggs and baskets. The easter bunny came and we followed his tracks to the easter baskets. Kate got Enchanted, and a cute little dress and stuffed bunny, and her favorite was a book that makes crinkle noises! She had her first easter egg hunt at grandma Gollahers house and dad helped her find lots of eggs! She has discovered new foods recently, her favorites include bananas, peaches and pears, but her favorite part of it all is making a big mess! Kate got her first toothbrush a few days ago and loves chewing on it, however she was not too happy about the brushing part. She has learned to roll all over the floor and it is so funny to see the places she ends up, she loves to chew on the sides of the table and couch, what a crazy baby! Kate will be taking her first trip to disneyland the end of april and we are so excited! Well thats all for now, Have a great day!

Happy St Pattys Day!

Hi everyone! Well not much is new here at the Gollaher house. Chad is getting back into the swing of night shifts and Kate and I are still not in the swing of doing without him. Poor Chad is getting over a cold and Kate and I are doing our best to avoid getting it (which has been sucessful so far). We are getting excited for Spring and Kate will finally get to feel what warm weather is like. She celebrated her first St Patricks day today sporting her awesome green overalls! It has been an eventful last three weeks for Kate. Three weeks ago today she got her ears pierced (she was so brave and now has cute pink diamond earrings), the next week she got her first tooth and a week later one more popped through. She now has two very cute teeth on the bottom, if anyone is brave she will gladly show you how sharp they really are. Kate is becoming an avid shopper just like her mom, she loves to pull all of the clothes off of the shelves and chew on them but she did use her new found skills to pick out a very cute pink easter dress. We have so much fun watching her grow and learn new things each day. Her latest tricks are chewing on her toes, and copying faces you make at her! What a cute baby!!! Well I am slowly getting the hang of this and will do my best to keep y'all updated (with the help of Janessa). Love Much!!! *Chad, Ashley, and of course Kate

our life... as of today

It seems like things are always changing before we can adjust, but I guess that is what keeps life exciting. I have decided to go back and finish school, so in order to do this as quick as possible I will be starting into Ameritech's nursing program in June and will finish 18 months later! It will keep me very busy for awhile but I am excited to start. Chad has offiicially began his job at the neurologists office and is training as a sleep technician. He works from seven at night till seven in the morning and is trying to juggle school and two crazy girls! Kates big news of the week is that she has had her ears pierced! It was a very traumatic expreience but she looks so stinkin cute with her new earrings! (I will post a picture as soon as I learn how to, ha ha). Kate is developing a love for American Idol and tries to sing along, it is our weekly activity while Chad is working night shifts, she also enjoys trying to chew on her books while I try to read to her (she loves to chew on anything she can get her hands on, It can be dangerous at times). We also learned this week that she is not a fan of basketball games, she loudly informed grandma and her aunts of this at the provo high basketball game. Well I will try to keep this updated, and possibly learn how to post pictures (If anyone knows how to do this please tell me). Until then use your imagination :). Have a great day!
